According to the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) Working at Height remains one of the biggest causes of fatalities and major injuries. Ensuring you select the correct equipment to do the work at height is very important and learning how to use that equipment effectively and safely is even more important.
This course has been designed to do exactly that, teach the delegate how to perform a task using the correct equipment and using it in the correct manner. Because Working at Height is considered as any work on, below or above ground level, it is important that this course enables the delegates to be able to perform their tasks in hand safely.
The overall aim of this course is complying with the Work at Height Regulations 2005 by providing the delegates with information and guidance needed to successfully overcome working at height risks and perform their duties safely with the use of control measures. The course will cover the following:
Any person whose responsibility it is to work at height, must comply with the Working at Height Regulations 2005 by law. All employers are expected to ensure that anyone involved in working at height is competent and has been trained. This course is suitable for many industries, for example:
Wherever possible hands-on practical fire extinguisher demonstrations will be carried out outside following a suitable risk assessment; therefore delegates are advised to bring suitable outdoor clothing and footwear.
To undertake this course, there is no preparation needed and all successful delegates will receive a TTS Certificate which is valid for three years.
