This course provides the delegate with the theoretical and practical skills to undertake the management of asbestos containing materials within the buildings that they are responsible for, as defined in CAR 2012.
The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, Regulation 4 covers the duty to manage asbestos in non-domestic premises. HSG 264 requires an appointed person to assist in the management of asbestos containing materials in buildings. HSG 264, requires the person appointed to be provided with the necessary skills and training for the effective management of asbestos in buildings.
This course is ideal for those responsible for managing asbestos in a building or estates including staff within H&S and property departments or site and project managers.

2 ½ days providing the UKATA Asbestos Awareness certificates are valid within 6 months.
Delegates are awarded a UKATA Certificate after successful completion of the course.
